Microsoft has released an updated Microsoft Edge version 123.0.2420.65 and Extended Stable Channel (Version 122.0.2365.113) to address multiple vulnerabilities.
The addressed vulnerabilities could allow the remote attacker to execute arbitrary code and gain access to the affected system by persuading the victim to visit a specially crafted website.
Sample of the addressed vulnerabilities:
Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based) Code Execution (CVE-2024-2887):
It should be highlighted that the zero-day vulnerabilities (CVE-2024-2886, CVE- 2024-2887) are being actively exploited during the Pwn2Own Vancouver 2024 hacking competition.
The enterprise should deploy this patch as soon as the testing phase is completed.
